How is the center line determined for the left-right and front-back distribution?
Ask:
What is the reference for the saddle centerline? Is the balance always calculated based on half the area of the saddle pressure pattern? And what happens with shorter saddles, such as triathlon saddles – does the balance then automatically shift forward?
Answer:
The white line in the saddle pressure image divides the sensor surface exactly in half, both horizontally and vertically. The system strictly orients itself based on the number of sensors: 28 in length and 16 in width. So, if the saddle were 28 cm long, the division would correspond exactly to the middle. However, if the saddle were shorter, for example, 22 cm, the division shifts, and with it the displayed front-to-back ratio.
We're aware of this effect and are currently working on dynamically adjusting the center to the saddle length selected in the software. This will allow the balance calculation to be more precisely tailored to different saddle types, such as triathlon saddles.
