Does the SmartCover measure actual pressure or just pressure differences?
Ask:
Does the SmartCover always show red pressure marks, or can you really tell from a before-and-after comparison whether the maximum pressure has been reduced?
Answer:
The SmartCover BT shows the pressure distribution on the bicycle saddle as it is relevant in practice. The highest pressure point is always shown in red, with the other colors arranged accordingly. Absolute numerical values such as ten or one hundred Newtons are of little use for assessment; the distribution of pressure is what matters. During bike fitting, the rider's body weight cannot be changed, but the seating position can. Small adjustments distribute the existing weight force better, reducing pressure peaks. The SmartCover makes precisely these changes immediately visible, clearly showing whether an adjustment has actually led to increased comfort and relief.
